Hans Rosling: The Truth about HIV

Hans Rosling made some very interesting points here on Africa and the HIV virus.

The world looks at HIV virus as a very bad thing, which it is. Since 1981, with the HIV virus discovery, it has grown exponentially in all continents. We sometimes look as Africa being the “motherland” of HIV virus. But what Hans was trying to make his point at is that it’s a very different situation for them. They do not have all of the privileges that most of the world does. Free health care, sophisticated health institutions, and the supply of condoms are something that Africa does not have.

There is still yet a vaccine for the deadly HIV virus that ultimately turns into AIDS. Technology is and will be very important for the human race and it’s posterity. With technology we will be able to predict an outbreak in Zimbabwe, per say, and ship a ton of condoms over there.

Money is also a big issue.

We will need other countries to help each other out to get this deadly disease maintained. Hans is making a difference out there, slowly but surely.

And like Hans said at the very end, “We will not only have the heart, we will not only have the money, but we will also use the brain.”

This quote will be our future.
