Ze Frank:  Nerdcore Comedy

Ze Frank has an interesting presentation on TED.

Ze frank got his start by posting a video of him dancing to Madonna’s “Justify my love” on a website. One week and a couple of million views later, he was famous! What is not so cool is due to all of his views on his sight, the Internet company charged him 30 thousand dollars. That is not quite what he was expecting I think. He then uses this misfortune to make a funny joke.

What Ze Frank really loves to do is create Internet software.

His real love is in the process of the creation, the feeling of being 80% done but still having something to do. He wanted to create an online social space that was easy for everyone to use. Ze does not like how some things are to hard to use and it seems as though you have to read the manual just to use it. He designed a program that pretty much helps people who suck at drawing, make good looking pictures. The whole thought of his program is pretty interesting. The computer collaborates with the drawing that you make to create something that is outside of what you could normally draw.

Other than talking about is love for creating stuff on the Internet, Ze doesn’t really have that much to offer here at the TED conference except to add some comedy.

Its almost as though he is put in there so that the people don’t get bored. I know that sounds mean, but he is a funny guy and that is what he is good at, making people laugh.
