Jamie Lerner:  Sings of the City

Jamie Lerner is a man full of creativity. He has created better cities and communities with his thinking and his powerful work. His main goal is to make cities more useful and easier use.

He was elected Mayor and Governor in the city and state he lives in. He taught children to separate trash from recyclable materials then they taught their parents. Jamie created a system that you could trade in trash for groceries. And he allowed sheep to trim grasses on the city. Jamie counts how ling the project would take in hours not months or years. His idea has convinced not only him but me in a solution to fix our climates problem.

Jamie says every city in the world can be fixed in less than three years.

Here is my question:

Why don’t we fix the cities and stop global warming?

I believe people do not see that we are ruining the environment that we live in. Jamie’s idea can decrease the pollution in the air and crate more public transportation.

Another question is why if we can design cities to make them more energy efficient, why don’t we do it?

One reason is because it is cheaper to build a little here and there but in the end the cities that are designed more energy efficient will save more money that if build little bits here and there. Buses in Jamie’s city can carry 300 hundred people while cars only carry one or two.

The main problem in the world is not that our cars our produce bad emissions but it is that our cities and not designed for us to crate a cleaner environment.
