Kirk Citron:  And Now the Real News

The Long News is an interesting project that can show importance in news that will matter in the long run. Certain news articles are important, but only for the moment, and may lose importance in the future.

Citron shows stories about Michael Jackson’s death, Obama’s inaugaration and the economy. All thse stories, especially the last two are pretty important. But probably stories about the economy will change and lose it’s importance. Michael Jackson’s death was a shock to everyone, but after a while, it’s old news, and it won’t change anything I the future.

Obama’s inaugaration, however, in my opinion could be important for the next 50-100 years since he made history for being the first black president.

One topic that will make a huge difference in the long run is science. They have made little robots that can crawl through your body. Imagine how that can change surgery processes. Anoter topic under science is genetically modified crops. Britain needs these or they will starve. That definitely impacts britain in the long run.

Another story that will make the Long News is that a microbe woke up after 120,000 years. This shows that life doesn’t need us. It seems that with or without us, life goes on. Another one is that water was found on the moon. If needed, it is easier to make a colony on the

All these stories will affect the future in different ways, and are therefore more beneficial for the future. That is the purpose of the Long News. Some stories matter more, and are more beneficial for a longer time than others.
