Misha Glenny is a very good journalist, and you can see this in the very journalistic approach that he takes to investigating these crime networks.
The real reason I like this video is because of his neutral approach to the whole situation. Although you can tell since he is a man that isn’t involved in organized crime, that he doesn’t approve of it. But he doesn’t come right out and say that. He is very good with delivering the facts as is and not giving a bias attitude towards the whole situation. That’s what makes a good journalist.
However the one thing that I didn’t see that I wish I did see in this video was a sort of an attempt to stop organize crime or things that are being done to stop it. It seems this was sort of a form of propaganda to instigate a form of stopping it. Which I guess has nothing wrong with it, but at least 30 seconds of other things being done would be okay.
I did like his introduction to organized crime. And that he said it was caused by faulty governments needing some sort of police force but that it was sort of illegally done and unofficial. This way the crime networks had a way to emerge and begin their illicit doings.
