Rob Forbes:  Ways of Seeing

Forbes is one of the most influential people in the world in his ideas for design. His creativeness and ways of visualizing everything is very unique. He can turn very simplistic items from anywhere into a neat and cool design. Many of his unique designs are found in everyday life.

I find it interesting that where ever I go I can find different designs from all over the world. Simply walking on the street there can be designs in buildings and/or sidewalks.

I also find it fascinating that distinct colors can represent certain emotions. For example, the color red can reflect “hate” towards something. Also, many light colors can symbolize calm and relaxing emotions.

I think people find interesting things outside in the real world and take them into consideration and use them for their own home design. I love how design is taking over not only in fashion but in the streets also. Many architects are coming up with brilliant ideas on how to create new buildings and put unique designs into the walls, floors, or even ceilings.
Forbes’ is really convincing in his speech, and makes me want to look into architectural design. Before this talk, I was not aware of how different and intellectual this job could be.

Forbes has really opened my mind in the world of design, and now I will be more visual to the deeper meaning of designs.
