Joseph Pine:  What Customers Want

Joseph Pine actually does a good job at describing perfectly what a customer looks for in a project. It’s funny to listen to something that describes you perfectly. He says that customers look for authenticity in there products, which is very true. A product that is not true to what it says it will do is not authentic, and therefore will not sell. He takes very abstract thoughts about business that it seems only a psychiatrist would find and puts them into simple terms.

His fake real and real fake idea is actually not that hard to understand either. Think about it this way. If you have a product that says that it will do what it will do but it doesn’t then it’s a fake real. If it doesn’t do what it says it is but is as good as quality as it advertises then it’s a real fake. Things are pretty easy in the business world if they are put into the terms of Joseph Pine.
